Charles Cohon's presentation Why Lean Manufacturing is Green Manufacturing will be featured in the Lean Enterprise Session of the 2008 National Manufacturing Week Conference.

In this one-hour seminar, we'll review the fundamental principles of Lean Manufacturing in the context of Lean's impact on your carbon footprint. We'll review how lean can be greener than recycling, because the only thing greener than a company that recycles all its scrap is a company that avoids creating scrap in the first place, and we'll consider how converting from batch and queue to single piece flow reduces your carbon footprint by eliminating the need to heat and cool warehouses and fuel fork lift trucks. Cohon's has presented on Lean topics at the 2007 Manufacturing Week Conference, ABB's "Results-Driven Power Control Road Show," Electric West, ABB's "Automation World" and the Electronic Distribution Show and Conference.
